Today’s news confirms what too many of us already feel: our democracy is being bypassed. Launching military action without congressional authorization is not strength its recklessness. It is a violation of the constitutional checks that protect both our national interests and global stability.

 

Let me be clear: I do not support regime change without a clear mandate from the American people and the elected officials who represent them. And I do not support using “fear of unrest” to distract from skyrocketing costs, economic unrest, or political instability.

 

We must prioritize diplomacy, protect working families, and reject the pattern of political theater that puts lives at risk for profit and distraction.

 

This isn’t just about Venezuela. This is about the future of American accountability.
